Discover Gemanafushi
Gemanafushi is a stunning island located approximately 400kms south of Male’, the capital of Maldives.This island is absolutely amazing and is a fishing paradise! The fishing vessels are so massive and impressive, and the locals are always happy to share their knowledge. The locals are incredibly hospitable, earning the island the well deserved nickname “Island of Hospitality”.The island’s economy is dependent on local tourism and fishing, specifically pole-and-line Tuna fishing. This island is famous for cooking and preparing delicious fish products like “Rihaakuru” (tuna paste).Gorgeous beaches surround the island, with three stretches of pristine sand; Zero Beach, Maareha View Beach and Sunrise Beach.And not to forget! Gemanafushi Corner, a channel that links the Atoll to the open ocean, is a fantastic diving spot and one of the best in the area.
Day 1: Arrive Malè
You can arrive at any time. A transfer is included in the closed tour to a selected 3-star hotel in Malè. Overnigth on BB-basis. Check in and rest of the day free.
Day 2: Fly to Gadhdhoo Island
Breakfast and transfer back to Male airport for a domestic flight to Gadhhoo Island in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll. Upon arrival ou will be met by a representative from One Ocean Divers and taken by speedboat to the island of Gemanafushi , only 25 minutes away. Check in and rest of the day free,
Day 3-10: Diving
You now have 7 days of diving (2 dives per day) is included. All dive days you will depart at 09.00 interval surface 1.5 hrs, with some food /soft drinks .back around 13.30. Rest of the day free.
Day 11: Fly back to Malè
Breakfast and transfer back to Gadhhoo Island and Maruvarulu airport for your flight back to Malè and connect with your international flight.
