Madidi Amazon Rainforest Air-Expedition 3D/2N

Today, you will be picked-up and transferred to the airport to take the flight to Rurrenabaque. Upon arrival, you will take a boat trip enjoying spectacular views of the Beni and Tuichi rivers before entering the Madidi National Park. After this, you will visit an indigenous community to learn about their way of life and take a walk to observe the incredible wildlife.

Transfer to Rurrenabaque and Madidi National Park, visit to an indigenous community and afternoon walking tour (L/D)

At scheduled time, you will be picked-up from your hotel and transferred to the airport to take the flight to Rurrenabaque. Today, we will take a 3-hour boat trip, and enjoy spectacular views of the Beni and Tuichi rivers before entering the Madidi National Park. We will visit the indigenous community “Villa Alcira” where we will be able to see and learn about the traditions and customs of its inhabitants. Once we arrive at our ecolodge, we will have a refreshing fresh fruit juice and rest a little. After lunch, we will hike through one of the designed trails (depending on your interests) to learn about nature and have an authentic experience observing the incredible wildlife that surrounds the lodge.

Today, you will prepare everything to spend a night camping in the heart of the jungle, carrying the essential equipment. At night, you will take a short walk and be able to spot animals in their natural environment.

Madidi National Park, activities in the jungle and night walking tour (B/L/D)

At 09:30 hrs, we will gear up and get ready for our journey into the heart of the jungle. We will have to carry the essential equipment (sleeping bags, sleeping mats, mosquito nets) during a walk of about 3 to 5 hours to reach our camp site “Patujusal” where we will spend the night. During the trek it’s likely we will find monkeys, spiders, wild pigs, titi monkeys, howler monkeys amongst other animals. We will also learn about traditional medicine. At 21:00 hrs, we will take a short walk and be able to see some armadillos, snakes, monkeys, tapirs, nocturnal birds etc. Often at night, you can also hear the roar of the jaguar or puma.

Early in the morning, you will head to “Farallon de las Parabas”. Then, build a log raft and go rafting to the ecolodge. After lunch, you will return to Rurrenabaque and take your flight back to La Paz.

Madidi National Park, log rafting and transfer back to Rurrenabaque and La Paz (B/L)

At 07:00 hrs, we will pick-up our backpacks and head to “Farallon de las Parabas” where we will observe beautiful macaws and other species of parrots. Then, we will build a log raft (traditional transport of the Amazonian Indians). We will go rafting for about 2 hours until we reach the ecolodge. We will also have the boat for security, for our backpacks, and for those who do not wish to participate in this activity. After lunch, we will return to Rurrenabaque and take our flight back to La Paz, where our adventure comes to an end.
